From snow shoveling sidewalks to clearing out entire parking lots, no site is to large or small!

Plowing

We understand what it takes to handle the worst of what winter can bring. Leading a massive fleet of trucks, loaders, and sidewalk crews, our snow management network services everything from corner lots to malls with hundreds of acres of paved surface to plow. While the right people and proper equipment are crucial to a successful operation, it begins with advanced planning and management control systems. Prior to the winter season, we visit each property to inspect the site, performing a detailed pre-season inspection, photographing key areas, and beginning to lay the foundation for a snow response plan. We then prepare a satelite image of the site, overlaid with information for the placement of snow piles, priority areas, and special instructions.

We ensure that a unique strategy is developed for each and every property, including the assignment of required equipment, operators, sidewalk personnel, materials, and supervision. This allows all of our team members to arrive on site and know what needs to be accomplished.

The clearing of snow is typically performed by a combination of equipment, from large loaders with pusher boxes to pickup trucks with smaller snow plows, depending on the size of the property. Our seasoned operators and drivers are careful to place snow where it belongs, according to the site specific snow map.

Deicing

De-icing applications are made after an accumulation of snow or ice to melt snow or ice and to improve safety and accessibility. While it has been common to apply sand to improve traction, we no longer recommend this practice due to its ineffectiveness as well as the mess it creates. We stockpile over 100 tons of bulk salt all winter long, continually replenished daily if usage warrants. Our large salt trucks make sure the only thing your sites are covered with is great service, not ice. a GPS tracked fleet keep accurate records of application times, protecting you from spurious slip and fall claims.

Anti-icing

The proper plowing of your parking lot is only part of the battle. Many times it is difficult to achieve "bare pavement". Using salt brine as an anti-icing agent before a storm will help reach "bare pavement" faster, by acting as an anti-bonding agent. Ice and snow will peel from the pavement, eliminating the need to scrape and re-apply harsh salts. Salt Brine is widely underused simply because of the specialized equipment it requires. Brine is 10 times more effective than deicing with straight salt and uses 1/3 to 1/4 less material. Using salt brine can not only result in achieving safe conditions faster but can also save you a substantial amount of money in applied material costs.

Sidewalks

Ensuring safe access to pedestrian walkways, steps, handicap ramps, and building entrances correlates to a reduction of slip-and-fall accidents. While many of our competitors shy away from providing sidewalk clearing services, we recognize that such services are essential to a comprehensive maintenance program. We utilize dedicated sidewalk personnel who have received extensive training and are supervised by an on-site sidewalk crew leader. We have invested in specialized equipment and machines for sidewalks including walk-behind spreaders, snow-caster shovels, power-clear snow blowers as well as utility vehicles. Eco-friendly de-icing materials with CMA are used on sidewalks; capable of melting snow or ice in temperatures as low as -35 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hauling

When stacking services are not enough, the snow simply has to be removed. Many properties require snow to be hauled on site to a snow storage location while others require snow to be removed from the site entirely to maintain adequate parking in critical areas of the property. Depending on the specifications, hauling is performed during every snow event or after snow piles become excessive. Utilizing a fleet of loaders and dump trucks, we can efficiently haul snow either on site or off site. In many cases, we can make the snow disappear faster than it arrived.
